My Visa balance is now $0!

I'm a lazy ass.
But that's all I'm going to say about that.

Specifically, some Kenny Rogers song.

Homemade burger & fries.

I need to go write a brief. Know anything about the State of Minnesota v. Ulvinen?

Quote Du Jour:
"Efficiency is intelligent laziness." (David Dunham)

To be honest, I get tired of journals where the authors write day in and day out how they are wasting away their lives. I hate to hear how someone went to the computer lab to print out a paper and ended up spending the next seven billion hours playing Quake or something. But with all that said, I could write such entries today. Why? Because today, I am a Super Slacker.

NotQuiteLive Journal

I wanted to clean my room. I wanted to move out an old chest of drawers and move in a new one I got. I wanted to make banana pudding. I wanted to get a jump start on my homework. I wanted to pay off my Visa bill. (Okay, so I did pay off my Visa bill.) As for the rest of my to do list, nothing has changed. I still need "to do" those things.

There is no glory is being lazy. There isn't much of a story to tell. Even though I'm guilty of it more than I'd like, spending time in front of the computer when you should be doing other things is a sign of weakness. It shows a lack of self discipline. I think self discipline is something I need to work on. But you're not going to have to read about it. At least... not today. Because, afterall, I get tired of reading entries like that.

Saturday was a good day. Jessie, Amanda and I spent the afternoon together and -- for the most part -- had a great time. We played miniature golf, raced go-karts, went out to eat at TGI Friday's and watched an arena football game. How can you go wrong with an itinerary like that? (Especially since I was victorious in our golf game and both go-kart races and the home team won the football game.)

Jessie is prone to be the more anal of the two of us and that caused a couple of problems Saturday. I didn't complain too much because a few tiffs were to be expected. We spent the preceding week almost entirely together without a problem -- we were due. All that matters is that the day started well, ended well and had many good points inbetween.

Loyal readers, please be aware that I'm trying something new with members of my journal cast.

First, I'm seriously considering giving Jessie a real alias. Yes, I'm talking her having an actual name. About only decent reason I have not not make such a move is that her current alias gives her a unique identity in my journal. Almost everyone else is just a name -- and, perhaps, can be easily confused with other characters. I don't want that to happen with Jessie.

Editor's note: Jessie was previously known simply as "The Best Friend." I did, in fact, upgrade her to a "real name" in March 2002.

Secondly, I'm playing around with pop-up windows for cast descriptions. On occasion, I monitor what pages readers are checking out. Often, I see folks having to go back and forth between entry pages and the cast page. Small windows that pop up when you click on a person's name might make life easier for readers unfamiliar with my characters. I'm giving it a test run in today's entry. Try it out and tell me what you think.
